Cristina Duarte is Visiting Research Fellow at WITS University South Africa and Member of the Board of “The Alliance for  a Green Revolution in  AFRICA” and the Advisory Committee on AU Reforms. She is Former Minister of Finances, Planning and Public Administration of Cabo Verde from 2006 to 2016. She has a professional experience mainly as the Director General of the Planning Cabinet of the Ministry of Agricultural Development and as Consultant to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Programme (FAO), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank. In the private sector, she worked at Citigroup/Citibank (commonly as Citi), the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the IMF.
