Marie-Christine Gasingirwa is the Director General for Science, Technology and Research in the Ministry of Education in Rwanda. She serves on National Technical and Steering Committees of different Higher Learning Institutions both Public and Private; is Vice-Chairperson of the National Commission for UNESCO; member of the International Scientific Committee on Science and Climate Change in East and Horn of Africa Regions and the Governing Board of EASTECO.
Dr. Marie-Christine Gasingirwa authored a number of scientific articles in different international journals. She is holder of a number of professional certificates in diverse domains: 'Diplôme de la Langue Française, Certificate on Conservation Education, Certificates on General Radiation Safety Training, Environmental Health and Safety.She has represented Rwanda in regional and international fora for the promotion of Science, Technology and Innovation. She is holder of a PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences(University of Namur), MSc Degree in Agricultural Biotechnology (West Texas A&M University), BSc (Hons.)-Zoology and Biochemistry (University of Nairobi).
