Gloria KAMANZI UWIZERA

Ms. Gloria KAMANZI UWIZERA is the founder and C.E.O of Glo creations Ltd. Uwizera is a textile designer and artist, she has been working on hand printing techniques on textile for more than 10 years in Rwanda. Glo creations ltd is a Rwandan based textile design company, specializing in creating African inspired quality patterns for garments, home interiors and customized products. Gloria is one of the few known textile designers in Rwanda, she worked on a project of a play entitled “Shadows of Memory” by Hope Azeda, played during the 20th Genocide commemoration against the Tutsis, where by Gloria’s work was to dye 850 actor’s costumes.

Gloria, as a passionate artist and entrepreneur, she has a creative eye, combined with a strong aptitude for business, has a real passion, dedication and determination for traditional printing techniques but brought up to date with a contemporary edge. Ms. Uwizera is part of a network of women entrepreneur across the African continent known as “African Women Entrepreneurship Program” AWEP, she is the Chairperson of AWEP Rwanda.
