Assistant General Counsel and Government Affairs Lead for Middle East & Africa, Microsoft
Mike Yeh is the Assistant General Counsel responsible for Microsoft’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) team in the Middle East and Africa. His work today is focused on supporting Microsoft’s sales and business operations in the region and helping customers – both governments and private sector – navigate novel regulatory and policy issues that have surfaced as a result of the transition from traditional, on-premise software solutions to hyperscale cloud services.
He joined Microsoft in 2003 and, prior to this role, was the Assistant General Counsel responsible for Microsoft’s Worldwide Public Sector and Industry team. He has also worked in Antitrust Group in Redmond, Washington, and as part of Microsoft’s legal and corporate affairs team in Asia, where he was the Director of Regulatory Affairs. He has worked on a range of regulatory matters - from competition law to privacy and security issues.
Before joining Microsoft, Mr. Yeh was with the law firm of Arnold & Porter in Washington D.C, where he represented clients in antitrust litigation matters and investigations by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice. He has a law degree and a Master's degree in public affairs from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. He is currently based in Dubai.
