Susan Kigula entered Luzira Women’s Prison 16 years ago at the age of 21, she was released in 2016. Through APP’s Leadership Programme, Susan was given the opportunity to study law. Subsequently, she became the first female inmate to study and graduate with a Diploma in Common Law followed by an LLB from the University Of London (UoL). Currently, she works as an ambassador for APP through engaging in community work and attending international conferences to give inspiring talks.
