Ms Priscilla Sani-Chimwele is development practitioner with more than a decade working in development. Eight of these have been spent successfully delivering projects in the United Nations.
Priscilla is Malawian and lives in Ethiopia. She currently works in the Regional Private Sector Unit of UNDP‘s Regional Service Centre for Africa (RSCA). Before joining the UNDP RSCA, Priscilla worked for UN Women in Malawi where she specialised in relevant programme development & implementation and provided technical and advisory support to national policy & economic development processes. Before that, Priscilla was an Economist in the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office where she facilitated inter UN-agency collaboration, coordination and coherence around the delivery of the UN’s development work in Malawi. Outside of the UN, Priscilla has worked internationally for capacity building institutions like GIZ and the Wittenberg Centre for Global Ethics.
In her current role, Priscilla implements interventions related to impact investment, financial inclusion for the bottom of the economic pyramid & youth entrepreneurship in Africa. She is keenly interest in Impact Investment and has authored a blog on the topic as well as made substantial contributions to a UNDP report on “Impact Investment in Africa; Trends, Constraints and Opportunities”.
