InnovAfrica Project Coordinator, Horizon 2020
Dr. Sekhar has a Ph.D. in Development Studies, Research Professor and currently working as the Director of the Centre for International Development, affiliated to the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research, Ås, Norway. Sekhar has nearly 24 years of research and development experience in natural resource management and environment related areas. His competence is mainly in climate change, food security, sustainable agriculture and multi-actor engagement. He has coordinated, and also worked in several large interdisciplinary projects in Norway, India, Vietnam, China, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Philippines, the Balkans (Montenegro, Latvia, Macedonia, Albania), and Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Malawi, South Africa). He has published articles in several international journals focusing on interdisciplinary research. Sekhar has also edited and written five books on Climate change, water, sustainable agriculture and food security. He is coordinating the H2020 InnovAfrica project ongoing in six countries in Africa.
